Dad truly has a unique gift for teaching.
Not only did I have the privilege of learning to play guitar
from my dad but I also got to watch him inspire and instruct many
people from 6 years old to 66, as I grew up working with him at “Chapman
Music” his music store. When
I began to teach guitar lessons as a young teenager it was my
dad’s unique method that I naturally adopted.
Unlike many other guitar teachers who focus
primarily on a technical approach of the instrument itself, dad
teaches how to “make music” using the guitar.
Dad’s goal is to teach his student how to use the guitar to
its fullest to accompany oneself or even a group.
As a natural part of that process, the “guitar lesson”
